Introducing to the delights of India – The Maharajas’ Express introduces new itinerary for year 2019-2020. The hidden riches of India lie in its breathtaking beauty and its diversity of cultures. With world’s leading luxury train, Maharajas’ Express, you can embark on an unforgettable escapade that starts off with the capital city of Delhi. Guests journey their way through iridescent lands of Jaipur to reach the vivid greens of Ranthambore. We then take our royal guests to the ancient capital city of Mughals, Fatehpur Sikri and then to Agra where they can witness the immortal sheen of the Taj Mahal. They soak in the regality of Gwalior and discover the sensuous moods of the temples of Khajuraho. Finally we reach the sacred city of Varanasi, and observe the divine beauty of River Ganges.
Day 1 - Delhi - Sunday
In the morning, board the Maharajas’ Express at Delhi. Settled down in the comforts of the train, as it moves towards Jaipur. Partake in a delicious brunch aboard. Dinner is scheduled at an exclusive venue at Jaipur. Overnight stay onboard.
Day 2 - Jaipur - Monday
Start the day with hearty breakfast onboard. Later, disembark for a visit to the beautiful Amber Fort. Lunch is organized onboard. Evening is at your own leisure, which you can utilize to savor the comforts of the train. Dinner is served aboard as the train proceeds to Ranthambore.
Day 3 - Ranthambore and Fatehpur Sikri - Tuesday
Disembark for an early morning wildlife safari at Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy a delightful breakfast aboard as train proceeds to Fatehpur Sikri. Have a delicious lunch before you leave for an afternoon visit to Fatehpur Sikri. After a well-spent day get back to the train for dinner and overnight stay. The train will next head to Agra.
Day 4 - Agra - Wednesday
Deboard for an early morning visit to Taj Mahal. The beauty of the Taj followed by breakfast at an exclusive venue is the perfect start of the day. Return to the train for lunch onboard. In the afternoon visit the splendid Agra Fort. Back to the train for dinner and overnight stay. The train will next proceed to Orchha.
Day 5 - Orchha and Khajuraho - Thursday
Pay an early morning visit Orchha. After the wonderful sightseeing, return to train as it chugs towards the next destination, Khajuraho. Pay a visit to the incredible Khajuraho temples in the afternoon. All meals and overnight stay onboard. Train will next head towards Varanasi.
Day 6 - Varanasi - Friday
Enjoy a leisurely start of the day with breakfast and lunch onboard. Disembark at Varanasi to visit a Silk Weaving Center, where you can see the beautiful fabric being created. Later, head towards Sarnath. After a visit, take a boat ride on the River Ganges to witness the spectacular evening aarti. Dinner is organized at an exclusive venue. Get back to the train for the night as it proceeds to Delhi.
Day 7 - Delhi - Saturday
Enjoy the leisurely comforts of the train with breakfast and lunch onboard. The beautiful journey ends in Delhi. Bid farewell to Maharajas’ Express as you deboard at the Delhi station.

Child Policy Maharajas’ Express does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavour to maintain.
- A) For Deluxe/Jr.Suite/Suite Cabins
- Children below 5 years shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents.This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
- Single child (5 years – 12 years) sharing cabin with adults – 50% of the adult fare, subject to sharing of double bed with two full paid adults.This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
- Single child (5 years – 12 years) in a separate cabin -50% of the(adult fare + Supplement charges) if requested in a separate cabin.
- Two child (5 years – 12 years) in a separate cabin – 50% of the adult fare for each child in a separate cabin on twin sharing basis.
- Three child (5 years – 12 years) in a separate cabin – 50% of the adult fare for each child subject to sharing of double bed.
- If third child request in a separate cabin – 50% of the (adult fare + Supplement charges).
- Single child (5 years – 12 years) + one adult in a separate cabin:- Two adults fare on twin sharing basis.

- Three child (5 years – 12 years) in a separate cabin – 50% of the adult fare for each child subject to sharing of with two/three full paid adults in PS.
- Single child (5 years – 12 years) + one adult in a separate cabin:- Two adults fare on twin sharing basis in PS.
- Two child (5 years – 12 years) + one adult in a separate cabin:- 50% of the adult fare for each child subject to sharing with one full paid adult.
- Child booking if requested in a separate cabin is subject to travelling with the adults. It is to be noted that single child has to share guide/vehicle with adults travelling together in case of Suite & PS cabin booked pax.In case, a separate higher category vehicle is required then supplement will be levied.
